3 Spring Baskets to Make This Year

Of course we make baskets all throughout the year, but there is definitely something about a spring basket that just feels so perfect!

I don’t make handled baskets very often - but in spring - I do! My Little Fabric Basket is darling for an Easter basket for little hands, or to have on a coffee table with paper flowers or spring greens.

And if you have a lot of scrap fabric, this is a great way to use it up! Or, if you need to buy fabric, I love using Liberty prints and Robert Kaufmann Essex Linen Cotton Blend.

You can find the full tutorial HERE. Included is written instructions plus video tutorials, as well as a pattern to make the same size I do. But of course, you always have free reign to make it your own.

Next is a gorgeous basket that uses the twining method of basket weaving, from Flax & Twine. This basket is perfect for holding treats, trinkets, coasters, remotes, keys, and more!

I just love the natural airy look. But don’t let that fool you, it’s still a sturdy basket due to the stiff rope that is used.

And last, but not least, I love the Knotty Basket for spring! Actually it’s my favorite basket for anytime, but I especially love the mauve and laurel colors for spring.

It’s a great choice for gifting away with some treats inside, or for use in your Easter and spring decor. These beautiful muted tones will carry through the summer and fall, too!

And that knot adds a darling touch of sweetness, don’t ya think?

The Knotty Basket is the largest of the three baskets, measuring about 11”x4”. For example, you could fit a sourdough loaf inside :D (speaking from experience).

I hope you have a wonderful spring!

Happy crafting,
